Divorced dad dating tips

In fact, my step-mother warned me, shortly after my father died, that I shouldn’t date a man with kids. As if that wasn’t a flashing red light of what was to come. The step-parent almost always ends up taking a back seat. Like any other individual, they have their good points and bad, and you need to take the time to get to know them. That said, my dating life after divorce has included the occasional never-married and childless man, the occasional widower with one or more children, and primarily divorced dads.

Let me first say that I'm not a relationship expert. I’m nothing more than a dad who has walked an interesting path on my way to raising two wonderful kids.If you’re newly single and trying to get back into the dating game, that’s not easy.
